Cycle Loft Advocacy Partnerships
As a locally owned business, it is our mission to support our local and national cycling advocacy groups and continuously grow community partnerships. Here are a few of the organizations that we support at various levels throughout the year.
My City Bikes Boston
My City Bikes creates beginner biking apps and public resources that are basic utilities to help beginners start biking. Use MCB to find beginner biking in your hometown or vacation destination. Each My City Bikes local biking app is a basic utility that prepares you for biking by providing necessary information about local bike lanes, bike trails, group rides, leisurely bike paths, and basic DIY bike maintenance guides specifically for people just getting started.
New England High School Cycling Association
NEHSCA helps kids of all abilities, from beginner to advanced, learn the aspects of mountain biking. Their USA Cycling certified coaches teach the fundamentals of cycling and team camaraderie in an open, friendly environment. Cycle Loft is a proud sponsor of the NEHSCA and is excited to see its popularity grow so quickly in the area.
Lexington Farmers’ Market
The purpose of the Lexington Farmers’ Market is to provide fresh, native produce directly from farmers to residents. We’re working to help the local farming industry remain vibrant, educate our community about healthy eating, maintain a sustainable environment, and provide a social experience that helps build community. Cycle Loft is a proud sponsor of the LFM and we encourage our customers to take advantage of this wonderful resource in our community.
MassBike
The Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike) promotes a bicycle-friendly environment and encourages bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation. MassBike also provides bikeability assessment services, a simple and effective way for local cyclists to advocate for better conditions in their community. Cycle Loft supports and appreciates the initiatives of MassBike and its impact on cycling in the state.
Eastern Fat Tire Association
The Eastern Fat Tire Association (EFTA) strives to promote and sanction mountain bike races and recreational rides throughout New England. They put on safe, fun, high quality events for both recreational and competitive cyclists and advocate responsible riding through their education efforts. EFTA also works on mountain bike trail access issues throughout the area to assure continued regional access to trails across New England.
New England Mountain Bike Association
NEMBA is the mountain biking advocacy organization that builds and takes care of trails all around the Boston area and all around New England. They are a community of riders like you committed to creating epic riding experiences, preserving open space, and guiding the future of mountain biking in New England.
International Mountain Bike Association
Since 1988, IMBA has been bringing out the best in mountain biking by encouraging low-impact riding, volunteer trail work participation, cooperation among different trail user groups, grassroots advocacy and innovative trail management solutions. IMBA's worldwide network includes 35,000 individual members, more than 750 bicycle clubs, more than 200 corporate partners and about 600 retailer shops. IMBA's members live in all 50 U.S. states and is comprised of many different regional branches (including NEMBA).
USA Cycling
The mission of USA Cycling is to achieve sustained success in international cycling competition and to grow competitive cycling in America while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Cycle Loft is proud to have been selected as a Preferred Dealer by USA Cycling.
People for Bikes
PeopleForBikes is dedicated to channeling people's passion for riding to improve the future of bicycling. Their goal is to gather a million names of support, to speak with one powerful voice—to make bicycling safer, more convenient and appealing for everyone. Simply put, they believe that life is far more enjoyable when it’s experienced on two wheels. They believe that by coming together, they can make our world a better place to ride.
League of American Bicyclists
The League of American Bicyclists works through advocacy and education to increase awareness of the benefits of cycling to communities around the country and representing the interests of the nation's 57 million cyclists. With a current membership of over 300,000 affiliated cyclists, including 25,000 individuals and 700 affiliated organizations, the League successfully works to bring better bicycling to your community.
